Providing counseling to victims of abuse is our top priority, guided and informed by the U.S. Bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The charter calls on every diocese to reach out to victims and demonstrate a sincere commitment to their spiritual and emotional well-being.
To answer this call for counseling and other dire social service needs, the Archdiocese of Detroit supports the Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan. The agency provides services throughout Lapeer, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, and Wayne counties.
Children's Advocacy Centers
Children’s Advocacy Centers provide an array of compassionate, professional, trauma-informed services to children and their families: There are several Child Advocacy Centers in the State of Michigan. Visit the Michigan Chapter to find the CAC near you.
